A. E. Clarke sight

I recently found a Enfield Central sight at a decent price, sans mounting plate.

I'm still cruising for a mounting plate. While doing so, I found a sight that looks very similar to the Central sight-an A E Clarke sight.

Anyone know anything about these?

I found one that I posted on enfield resource, and I still know nothing about them. They're so close to a Central I've wondered if they're a semi licensed late run, perhaps for a different rate of adjustment.

Just returned from a short vacation. Both the Clarke sight and the Central sight arrived while I was gone.

Both were in great shape and are strikingly similar..(The Clarke is the one with the aperture installed)

The Clarke sight came with a mounting plate that appears like it would work with the Central sight.

Anyone recognize which rifle the mounting plate fits?

Answer a long time coming, but that looks to be a mount for a BSA CFT Palma-type target rifle (PM sent!). Arthur Clarke used to sell the BSA CFTs from new with these sights back in the 1980s. Centrals were by then out of patent so the A. E. Clarke sight was a straight clone.

From the screw holes and their associated flat, it looks like it would fit a Parker-Hale 1200TX receiver.
