Sniper for sale
A Lithgow 1944 MkIII has come up for sale non matching scope, rifle serial No.8711 had a look through Skennertons book the closest is 8710.
What I am wondering given the difficulties of having succinct records could this be one that slipped through as it is pretty cheap at $4K but I am just hmmmm lets say curious!.
The mount and scope look correct but it is only one picture at a distance.
Does anyone posses a more thorough record of the Australian
HT's than what Ian has put to print.
TIA

It's a parts assembled HT sniper.
Scope,rings & mounts are real.

That would explain why it is still there at that price.

I assume the serial number is F8711 not 8711?

More likely an E that's been covered by the scope block.
