1916 enfield with what appears to be a soviet proof mark on it?
newbie here. can someone help me out here? is this a soviet proof mark? i know it looks more like a circle in the pic but in person it for sure looks like the crescent moon with the hammer or whatever that thing is....any thoughts or has anyone seen this before cause i could not find anything online in about an hour of searching. any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is a London (UK) proof mark of the London proof house a private company. All firearms sold in Britain
must be proved and marked by one of the 2 proof houses, London or Birmingham.
