    Back safely

Just when you thought it was quiet here I am back from our long weekend bike run with Mrs CINDERS & friends we managed 900lkm in 2 days staying at 2 wheat belt pubs built in the early 1900"s.
Sadly these hotels which flourished in our out back during those times are disappearing along with the Aussie bushman of those generations frankly its just not the same anymore out there.

Took plenty of snaps along with some of a military museum we visited in Merriden (Merrid-en)
An army base was established there in WWII as they thought the japs were going to invade Western Australiaicon after Darwin & Broome were attacked by air.
Its well worth the visit as they have lots of items of which there were 2 x 20mm Hispano cannons from a spitfire recovered from a long drop toilet some years ago oooo-er!
They have washed & painted then but they are pretty much cactus they sure are long.
Anyway 2 pics of my helmet & front of the Duke after a five hours on the first day at Corrigin (Corri-Gin) from interactions with the local insects.

    More to follow......
