    L96A1 CES Screwdriver

There was a post a while back asking about the screwdriver that formed part of the CES for the L96.
It took an age to find one to complete my CES (with the help of a fellow forum member), but since then I have found a number of variations that carry the same NSN number

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. See that F1 prefix to the Nato number? That is the prefix for general hand tools...., expense items. So you'd find zillions of variations and manufacturers. Usually PURCHASED from within the EU (but not for much longer hopefully....) from the lowest cost supplier. But, alas mostly made OUTSIDE the EU. To think of one supplier who bid and supplied, at the lowest price, he clearly didn't realise the the phillips cross-head screwdrivers should ideally have a cross-head blade much harder and tougher than the cross-head/phillips screw that the blade was meant to turn. They lasted about a week....... and even shorter if you had to use it!
