Scammer ALERT!!

I was contacted by PM by jubee787 sending a email in the pm for a magazine that I am looking for. Here is the information;

"Check out Holliday in PA via holli2580 @gmail.com,he has a Swiss Model 1893 Carbine Magazine he wants to part with."

I sent a email and received this reply;
Holliday Christopher
holli2580@gmail.com

"Heres it
Kindly confirm if this is what youre looking for and text me on 5413578718"

Did a Google check on the number and it comes back to a few forums reporting of a scammer, Just wanted to make you guys aware.

I got a message back from Holliday Christopher that said "sorry, Not available"

My guess is that if someone posts a wanted ad, no matter what it is you are told to contact "Holliday in PA" so that he can get business.

I had posted an add on the exchange form a while back and was contacted by Jubee787 as well via a pm a couple of days ago.

I copied his response from the PM he sent me so here it is...........

I contacted him back via a email and he replied back saying that he had sold out the day before I contacted him.

I'm not used to this sort of thing but he he is indeed a scam artist why would he not have sent me bogus pictures etc and got me to wire him money????

I'm a bit confused but happy to be aware if indeed this is a scam!!!

I had a PM on here with the exact same thing saying to contact holliday regarding a No32 scope tin.

When I spoke with him his email replies were like he couldnt speak english properly?

I decided not to deal with him, glad I didn't!!

He did send me a picture of the magazine and when I asked him for additional pictures of every side of the magazine as well as a paper with todays date along with the magazine all I received was "Ok" haven't heard a word since, the guy is a scammer for sure.

Thanks Doug. Unfortunately, I sent Gene a m.o. for $50.00 for a low profile safety for my 1891 Argentine mauser bolt before finding out it was a scam. My bad! We don't need people like this here. Too late, but live and learn! Jim.
