That's an interesting collectable Charlie ... I want one!
When I was a kid in the mid 1970's, I remember seeing a toy Lee Enfield, oh boy did I want one, destined never to happen unfortunately .... I kicked off and got several hard slaps on the back of the legs for my troubles from mother... Quite rightly too! Remover how much that used to hurt.....
I would probably buy one now if I ever found one.....

I used to have two of them. Sold them both for £35 each when we had a clear out.
A bit like the old black plastic Airfix SLR which fired grey plastic bullets. Toys of our youth eh

I really wanted one of these. Never hit the top priority list, though. By that time girls and cars became important.

I had one of those Roy, igniting an interest in the L1A1 that never went away .... Lost the magazine and the exposed barrel fell off!
Luckily, I look after my 'real' inch patterns somewhat better!
I seem to recall a Thompson too...

I found this picture on one of my older computers this morning. I had downloaded it from "somewhere" about 3 years ago. Looks like a couple of really nice ones! - Bob

Hey GI Bob,
If you or anyone else is interested I also posted over on The Carbine Collectors Club and got some really interesting information added by Dan New2Brass and The Sleeplessone Jim M.

Brings back memories-this was my first carbine as a kid! As I remember, it had a wood stock.
It is long gone, but I picked one up at a Gun show 2 years ago.

Was that a fixed priority or did the girls and cars switch places from time to time?

Speaking of M1
