Canadian No2 Mk IV*
Finally got my hands on my acquisitions, thought I'd share this one with the group and see what you all think.
It is a 1916 LSA converted to .22 with Canadian
proof marks and a Cooey rear sight. All numbers match. I replaced some of the hardware and gave it a cleaning. It shoots pretty well, but I think it needs a new spring or two.
When I had it apart, I noticed the receiver, forend, trigger guard, trigger, etc are all marked "210". Am I safe to assume that was from when it was converted to .22? I am also wondering if it was converted by BSA as it has one of their barrels installed.
It is interesting that the whole rear sight assembly is held on by only one screw. You have to remove it to get the bolt assembly out.
It is the one on the left in the overall picture. The one on the right is a 1930's BSA from Bahrain.

The sight is a "Ross Battle Aperture Sight" as fitted to the Ross MkIII and late MkII**. The base is an adaptor to fit it to the .22" SMLE. Never saw the base stamped Cooey but Cooey made the Ross sight.

Looks like a tubed barrel - BSA might well have done it for them.

Thanks for all the replies.
MK VII, if BSA tubed it, would they have stamped the Knox with their logo? The picture of the muzzle does look a bit like it is tubed which is why I posted that particular picture.
