Beware - possible scam by Niccum
Beware - possible scam by Niccum
We've been advised by member “Nagloc68 to check the following new member.
Member Niccum joined 10-07-2021 using email address Rickniccum0@gmail.com.
He's already sent 19 PM's (Private Messages) for different items to other members here, asking them to contact a 3rd party at a different email address, as that person can sell them what they need.
If you have sent him money, I’d advise you STOP payment if possible.
I have deleted ALL of his PM's.
These scammers are getting more sophisticated, so “Caveat Emptor”.
I've have permanently banned him.
Thanks for the heads up “Nagloc68".
Regards,
Doug
Note: To reduce fraudulent activity, we do not allow re-direction selling on our site, which means using our PM (Private Messaging) system instructing another member to contact third parties at a different email address than the one registered with our site. Only direct sales from our WTS/WTB/WTT classifieds area. Anyone doing this will be immediately banned for life without any recourse.

Well worth your time to read the 6 pages of the other currently listed Scammers. It's a quick read.
I posted about this here: https://www.milsurps.com/showthread.php?t=75361
Thx to Nagloc68 for the Heads Up and to Badger for taking action.

It can be fun trolling these people...when you drag them on they waste lots of time and money otherwise devoted to finding new targets. For example, I have several checks for $10,000 and more where the scammer paid for overnight fedex delivery cross country to get them to me. I was a young graduate student, making money for beer tutoring. Scammers would ask for a summer's worth of weekly tutoring for their nephew who was visiting the country for the summer. They would send a check for loads more than my fee, and ask me to cash it and deliver the balance to cover the younguns living expenses.
Of all the things to do for fun, trolling scammers is pretty high on the list
Be safe friends!

Pretend to be one of the people on one of those checks and mail it to them and say sorry, I cashed your check but I'm having second thoughts, here's your money back.

Ha. I had lots of fun with it. Friends and I would try to get them to call to discuss their budget Only one of them ever did...10 of us packed into a tiny office surrounding a speaker phone cooking up a story..."I've only got $500 in my savings account, is that enough to start?"
