    Swiss craftsmanship

I blame my nephew for this. He brought this to my attention. I gave in! Striker fired pistols seem to be all the rage. It has a "P" stamp so it appears it was "privatized" at some time in its history. Everything matches. The bore is excellent. Alas, of all the obsolete cartridges on hand 7.65 Parabellum is not one of them.

All the usual suspects seem to have some, AIM, Sarco, Cabela's, Classic, etc, but to me, Simpsons seems to have the nicest pictures and most accurate descriptions. Professional transaction and fair.

I remember back in the Fifties growing up in Cleveland, my uncle in Toronto would order stuff from Klein's Sporting Goods in Chicago and have it sent to our house. We would hold it until he came to visit.

Those were sure the days. Get across to Detroit on a birth certificate and just your say so and good will. No problems. The guards might want to see the gun you bought because they were gun guys...

One of the Swissicon Lugers? I've never held one. Very nice example and I'd love to try it out. I had a smack of ammo come to hand years ago and yes...that cartridge was there in quantity, about a box and a half. Long gone now because I had no use.
    Regards, Jim

    all things Swiss

I think my fascination with all things Swissicon began with Ursala Andress coming out of the ocean in Dr. No.

Good eye. I missed it as my attention was elsewhere.
