Spanish Web Gear
I'm having a CETME C built and I was wondering what web gear did the Spanish use during it's tenure? Haven't been able to pull up anything. Don't expect I'll be able to find any for sale but it would be neat to at least know how it worked and looked. Are there any English-language books on historic Spanish equipment and gear?
Also, I've seen on some magwells, "E.T." proceeds the weapon's serial number, this would be "Ejercito de Tierra", correct? If so, were the Naval guns marked A.E. for Armada Espanola? Also, what do the T-S-R represent on the grip housing?
Thanks.

I was going to suggest looking on Zib Militaria but it looks like they have permanently closed, sadly.

Spanish stuff is tough. About the only things that are relatively easy to find are helmets. I've been trying to find holsters for years. SARCO had some shoulder holsters for the Astra 400 for a while but they sold out and the price skyrocketed. I can't even find an example of a Star B holster to know what they look like. eBay searches for Spanish web gear comes up with nothing. I suspect they don't surplus stuff like most other countries do.

Here's a link for what it's worth and you can see the field gear. Tough to get as collectors are few. At least you can see it. If I was going to rig for carry, I'd use US gear for the M14
rifle.

At least I know what it looks like. I also noticed that Spanish militaria isn't of much interest to collectors but I think that's a shame. Not much knowledge out there and I'm sure the language barrier doesn't help.
The CETME C magazines are curved and I wasn't sure M14
pouches would fit them. If they do, it would give me a good reason to buy the remaining pieces to complete the set of gear.

OK, I was picturing the square G3 type mags.

Luck was with me yesterday and the usual searches turned up a new result, as sometime happens. Ran across a site for a surplus store in Spain. They had CETME C magazine pouches from the '80s and I was hoping to find some from the '60s or '70s but at least they will for sure fit the magazines. They also had leather magazine pouches used by the Legion but I've had bad luck buying surplus leather items. Unfortunately, I found no belts or suspenders but I'll keep looking and maybe they'll fit on a US pistol belt in the mean time.
