How many M1's
Do we know approximately how many Garands were manufactured by the four US factories?

That's a really tough exact number to come up with as there was serial number over laps in production and block of numbers were not used.

Only thing I can add is mine is 5,9xx,xxx. I saw a 7,xxx,xxx at a gun show last week and the seller confirmed it was one of the commercial rifles made in the 80's.

Quantity
You can get a pretty good total from actual delivery numbers. They are well-known.

IIRC the owner of 6100499 was at the GCA

6100499
It was sent to Roger Miner as a DCM NM sale in 1958. He passed away and his daughter sold it to me in 2014. I recently passed it on to another collector in the GCA
. What a beauty it is!

Wondering why you would part with such a unique garand? It would look good next to #1 at,SANHS
