Friend of mine had one of those and didn't like it much. Said it fired too fast. He didn't even know it had a semi auto selector...

The Germans did convert some captured PPSH 41 smg's to 9x19mm

Unfortunately, Ordnance bought into the Russian
method: spray and pray by poorly trained troops. Enough bullets eventually work. They beat the Germans by sheer numbers... whenever the odds were 3:1 against them, the German
won. At 5:1 it was touch and go, over that the Russians won. The best history is "Hitler Turns East" by Carrell.
Real men measure once and cut.

German
captured Sovit PPSH 41 smg's were designated MP 717 (r) in 7,62x25mm and MP41 (r) in conversions to 9x19mm.
