Many years ago I had a similar style of hand vehicle tyre pump that wasn't working and I didn't have a replacement cupped leather washer of the correct size which these style of pumps normally require. On showing the pump to my late father he just unscrewed the tube cap so that the inner part of the pump could be removed with the cupped leather washer which wasn't sealing properly. After a little careful "manual manipulation" of the washer basically to expand it outwards slightly the pump was put back together again and it worked perfectly. It only took a few minutes and it obviously depends on how good or bad the leather washer is to start with but it it did prove that a new washer isn't always necessary which is useful if it is a size that is difficult to source.

I checked the intervals. The tube is clean and greased. So that's good news. I think the leather washer can be adjusted to seal again; as it is complete and not dry.
Finding suitable hose will be easy. Not sure what was used to clamp the hose originally.

For something like that I would probably use a fuel line hose clip rather than a standard jubilee clip that currently appears to be on there.

That's very helpful. I have old hose clips like that in my toolbox; for fuel lines.
I think the valve connector is similar to the old foot pump type. So should be easy to find something close to original.

Many years ago an old boy who had spent his whole working life working in the motor trade, after spending WW2 working in a factory, once said that the secret to finding/sourcing parts for old vehicles can often be how one describes the part in question that is required. This was said because someone was trying to source a "core plug" for a specific vehicle rather than asking for a "core plug" of a specific size.

I've been in the motor trade for over 40 years. You are correct, regarding the description of parts; knowing their origin.
Luckily we get to plenty of "Brocante's" (like car boot sales) here in the French
countryside. Plenty of old tools and memorabilia; generally very cheap too!
