    CMP Smith Carona

Traveled to Anniston last week to spend a couple days shooting the CMPicon Talladega Marksmanship Park. Had not planned to purchase a rifle until I saw this lone Smith Carona among 4 Remingtons. looked all correct except for the replacement bolt. Sleeve was marked R and top of handle was B&S with an ordinance bomb (Brown & Sharpe). Could not pass on the rack grade price of $750. ME/TE are 1/3. Closely examined the dark bore and found strong rifling. Best guess the dark bore is why it was a rack grade. Took a chance and had it on the range within an hour. No issues hitting the 9 and 10 ring at 200 yards. Once cleaned after arriving home, the bore was shiny and bright with no pitting, frosting or corrosion. Can anyone give input on what I have for a bolt?
