    Best Modern Scope for No4MK2?

I do not care about being a T model replica. I currently have a Burris shotgun/muzzleloader scope on the rifle now, but the scope is rather non confidence inspiring since the tracking is off with the clicks, turrets mushy/slop, and I think I can do much better with modern offering.

The only thing is, I would like it to flow with the looks of the rifle. Low profile turrets, 30mm tube seems standard now. Side parallax would be nice, but lower on the scale of wants. Probably something 10X max mag range. I'm tempted to put a Leupold VX5HD 3-15X44 on it, but just wondering if there is a diamond in the rough scope for these old Britishicon gals.

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. How about a nice M8 4x and call it a day, or maybe a M8 2x?

The ideal mounts don't yet exist IMHO, but the Armalon with windage adjustable steel rings would be the strongest and allow collimation in the horizontal plane at least.

    Online quote:

The M-8 4x32mm has magnesium fluoride lens coatings throughout and has the friction adjustments which have the dials marked off in 1/2 MOA increments. They are good old scopes, durable beyond belief, just not as bright as the newest version which is fully multicoated and also has clicker adjustments. They came set parallax free at 150 yards as most Leupold centerfire scopes do. Easily reset by any individual, OR if afraid to tamper, by Leupold for $25.
