    Happy Birthday to the Lee-Metford Mk I!

    Today is the 136th anniversary of the adoption of the first Lee rifle into Britishicon service! Today, on December 22, 1888, the Rifle, Magazine (Mark I) was approved. Glad we can all still enjoy Mr. Lee's legacy 136 years later!

    Must admit I am not a fan of the 2-groove "a$s backwards" rifling in my Maltby 1942 No. 4 Mk. 1 rifle.

    But love it or hate it there is no disputing the success.
