    SMLE volley sight bead dimensions

    I need to make a repro sight bead for an SMLE volley sight and I don't have an original here to measure.

    Would someone with calipers here, who owns a long lee or SMLE with an intact sigh bead, be able to take some measurements for me?

    I've made a drawing of the dimensions I need.

    A=
    B=
    C=
    D=
    E=
    F=
    G=

    Thanks to anyone who can help

    I suspect F and G are the same diameter (pls confirm?)

    I don't need the tenon length, as I have to make it a little long anyhow so I can rivet it over and file flat.

    A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. A = *
    B = .161"
    C = .103"
    D = **
    E = .040"
    F = .159"
    G = .155"

    * Best I can do is A = .220" plus "a little bit". The end of the tenon is evidently left a bit long, then peened over to secure it.

    ** The bead is installed, so I can't measure the diameter.

    Hope this helps.
