    Enfield Enforcer Info

    Hi all,

Would anyone happen to have a pdf of the Police Enforcer instruction manual or any other Enforcer documents?

A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. I will accept PayPal, Zelle, MO and good old checks (and cash if you want to stop by for a tour!). CLICK BANNER to send me a PM for International pricing and shipping. I have quite a few documents for the Enforcer, from the Enfield sales ledgers, to advertising brochures to Police Marksmen 'memories' and other stuff - current location of many of the Enforcers, and answers to freedom of information requests to the various Police Forces around the country. etc etc.

I was writing a book on the development and use of the Enforcer but I found some very troubling information about the use of some of the Enforcers that, had I published, would have resulted in me (probably) being locked up (or beheaded) for treason.

What do you actually want to know ?

Send me a PM is you prefer.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

My Enforcer came with documentation for the Enforcer and other rifles. The previous owner acquired this documentation. He included the documentation with the rifle when he sold it.

The only Enforcer related documentation in the set of documents was the print out of a long-defunct website that had information about the Enforcer and a Pecar scope manual/brochure. I sent scans of these documents over to Lance. He was considering including them in the books he's working on. If he decides to include them, and that's his choice, I'd say go buy his book when it comes out. I'd like to see Lance get paid for what he does. If he decides not to include them, and again, totally his decision, I can send the scans over to you.

Here she is, No158, ex Cambridge Constabulary, matching bolt, magazine and scope, all numbered to the rifle.

I bought this one from Buccaneer (of this parish) and I'm very happy with her. A few pics from a dusk laser boresighting session at my local range attached.

    Fist proper shoot on Wednesday.
