    Painter/Charlie ?

We havn't completed the mission ! An unidentified U.S training camp in N.Z, just prior to Guadalcanal ?. I went there last summer and found some evidence, but the exact location is difficult to ascertain, it's within about 50 square klicks. For the rest of you guys, it's very close to Rotorua, New Zealandicon. The engineers built practice, bunkers, caves, holes, there for the G.I's to practice assaulting. Any other info appreciated. The pics indicate what remains !. Mike. N.Z

    Hi Mikey,
Been buried at work, having to put in 18hr days.
Haven't gave up on our mission..........just had to be put on the back burner for now.

    Cheers,
    Charlie-painter777

There was extensive press censorship of the American presence in New Zealandicon. The newspapers were not permitted to write anything about the invasion until November 1942, and thereafter the news was strictly controlled.
