restore or not?
i have an a4 in good to fair condition. i just came from a restoration shop and the owner said its up to me, but if it was his he would repark it and blue the right parts. whats the common practice leave it as it came from the military rebuild or return it to original condition?

I would leave it as it is.

If the receiver/barrel are the WW11 gray green park I would leave it alone. You really cant replace that look, even if worn.As for bands, trigger guard, you can still find those parts with the original blue in new condition on,ebay, gunbroker.

Irishsteve is correct. Follow his guidance. The blued parts are always for sale at the big gunshows, as well.

if its a parts gun then restore, if its original, and in nice shape, leave it be.
