A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. I've visited the Mighty Mo as well as the North Carolina. Both were an awesome and humbling experience. We could go inside the big gun turrets and magazines........very claustrophobic while needing a big team effort to effect firing the big guns.

Love visiting ships. Been to the New Jersy, Olympia, Massachuetts(sp),Texas,Lexington,Constitution as well several subs and destoryers.
I find it fasinanting to tour the ships of different eras and see how they evolved.

That is a beautiful, majestic ship! I've been aboard the USS Massachusetts and the sub and destroyer docked at the same location. I wish the USS Wisconsin could have been brought to the Great Lakes and berthed in either Superior or somewhere along the Lake Michigan shoreline. Carl

Yep, agreed. I'm making a bike putt down to the Houston area Friday. I'm thinking to take a couple hours to swing down to the Texas. She's a real 'another era' ship.
