    Experimental Laminated Lee Enfields

Ok-so the thought occurs to me -
-"how many laminated Lee Enfields are out there?
They will have the XP=experimental serial number on the stock.

    The stocks were ---
    a) of a small variety of woods
    b) vertical laminates thick as above of different woods
    c) vertical laminates thin as above of different woods
    d) horizontal laminate thick of a variety of woods
    e) horizontal laminate thin of a variety of woods

All official laminated stocks will bear the XP=experimental serial number.

I will have to look at mine but it is in the XP60'S or something the mind grows dim and I don't feel like digging it out of the lockup.

I have some information from a fellow that knew the people that were instrumental in the production of these 100 or so rifles.

This rifle is a beautiful example official numbers are not available but the gentleman said that there were something between 75 to 120 made.

That's it boys and girls --a rare rifle.

Canadianicon Army and DCRA both had the laminated stocks. As it was explained to me the Canadian Army experimented with the laminated rifles and then turned them over to the DCRA at some point.

Not sure about that, maybe someone knows and will elaborate.

The previous owner of this rifle bought it from the Canadian Army back around 1964 or 5?????

Ya gotta just love the Lee Enfield
    As a parting photo----
Three of many in the lockup--
