What front trigger housing take down pin should Underwood serial #1,426,5XX and Winchester serial #1,075,5XX have, type I or II? TIA

Scott, thank you for the quick reply.

I agree, everything I have in writing and have gathered through the years shows the type II to be correct however something someone said to me suggested one or both should be type Is.

A carbine with a made in 1942 would use the type 1 pin but from January 1943 on it's they type 2. Both of yours are type 2 pins. hth

Contradicts this earlier one

A carbine with a made in 1942 would use the type 1 pin but from January 1943 on it's they type 2.

Winchester, Inland and Rock-Ola used type I TH pins past January 1943.

Wouldn't the answer be determined by whether the front receiver lug was milled for the spring loaded take down pin or not?

Brian, all I am quoting is War baby and yes they used them into January 1943 but that was the break month as listed. Yes in January they used what was left but once they were out they were into the type 2 pins. But if War baby is wrong then when did Winchester,Inland and Rock-Ola switch over to the type 2 pin. Thank you.
