New Zealand Remingtons
I was just reading the article in man at arms magazine about the red star 1903s. I was just wondering in the mid 1990s I purchased a non import marked early remington with NZ
and Broad arrow on the stock. At the time it seemed like there were a few of these rifles around how did they get imported into the states without importer marks.

The NZ Remingtons were lend/lease rifles. When the war ended, the Kiwis returned them to the U.S. Army, from which they had been borrowed. The rifles were not commercially imported.
