Winchester Type I Front Sight
I keep seeing ads for front sights that have a mill mark that is said to indicate that it is for Winchesters. What I find says that that the Winchester sight is unmarked.
Turning to the experts here to validate if any unmarked front sight could be on a Winchester.
Thanks

When they say milling mark, they are not talking about a letter. Behind the post there is a milled area that the cut looks like a thumb nail.

The presence of the "thumb nail" appearance of the milling on a front sight behind the post is not exclusive to Winchester (Lyman) sights.
Winchester sights have a distinct side profile not found on sights made by the other sight manufacturers.

I've seen the thumbnail cut on RIA marked sights too.
When they tell you to behave, they always forget to specify whether to behave well or badly!
