electric/digital scale
Looking on Ebay to see what scales are going for I came across a new (to me) digital scale, the GS1500 by Hornady at a very impressive price.
Does anyone have or has used one of these?. Any thoughts on this item?
Thanks,
Peter (Burlington, Ontario)

I don't use one of these - I use an RCBS Chargemaster (electronic scale + dispenser). The improvement over a beam-scale is awesome. IMHO: although people have there preference of scale, if you can get the right amount of powder each and every time, you've eliminated a tremendous source of inaccuracy/inconsistency.
Just my 2 cents...

The only reason I use a digital scale is because it goes w/ my electronic dispenser. Its especially handy when dispensing coarse powders; while it does its thing I can seat bullets and do other minor tasks.

Got a RCBS scale/dispencer last year for Birthday I'm not much for electronic (stuff) but this thing is great. I have lots of time when I load so it has a next charge ready and waiting plus you don't have to trickle to to get it on the money. You will enjoy it.

I have the Lyman 1200/2 scale/dispenser and it`s a very good one with an acceptable price. Easy to use and very accurate.

and the other benefit regardless of brand you choose....precision loads and safety. That big digital display screen tells you the load and you are not squinting and fumbling with a beam balance scale and a trickler to get a exact load....nor are you prone to making a mistake reading the scale and making a unsafe load.
These scales increase safety and I am glad I bit the bullet and bought one. My Ohaus scale is only used to double check my digital at times (just cause I am anxious to have a double check).

Mmmm, friend of mine loaded some 32-20 w/ 13.5 gr of powder instead of 3.5 gr per the manual, just because he did not notice the one counter weight had moved.
Shooter OK, revolver in small pieces!
