    M6 milsco scabbard Repo?

I can't remember I have two milsco scabbards one has the 4 in 1943 open in top in, the other is closed. I was using the repo one for re-enacting 10 years ago. I could use a little help I have them mixed up now.

    M6 Scabbard

Curt- According to the" Recognition" page in the " US Military Knives" site. Original Milsco M6 has 1) an "M" that the center goes to the bottom, 2) "1" no serif 3) the "4" is open at the top. Good luck! SKIP

    M6 Milsco Scabbard

JimF4M1sicon- The L&C, and Barwood seem pretty scary. With a different leather they will look almost, if not authentic. Need to study up on those now. The Imperial w/ M6 Milsco is legit, I have actually handled that particular item, a couple of weeks ago. SKIP

He clearly states that they are newly made. Also says he is still looking for coffin staples for another maker. It will take some doing to age these enough to fool someone who knows what he is looking at. There are other things to look for. But someone new to knives could might get stung. Need to watch out.

    Here is one of mine.

Well before i knew anything about these I bought a nice M6 with a pretty beat m3 guard marked blade in a gun show parking lot for $15. I went to use it for a reenactment and I was scolded. SO I bought nice re-pop and aged it, then after half a dozen beach head landings 2 movies, and other assorted adventures they looked the same. And I kinda lost interest in the blades. All the bayonets got oiled and wrapped in VCI paper and all the scabbards ended up in a box. My M1A1icon will be here soon and I think it needs a nice M6/M3 combo displayed with it.
