My money is still on Enforcer's as the one to have! I have a 4(T) but then so does every one else these days !! I have a mint No.5 made in 1947 by BSA ,and its one of the last ones.

Surely the last Enfield MUST be the little L96 Cadetd GP SA80. They are lawful in private hands and there are are a few floating around in commercial circles.
If you are going to get one, then get one fast because they are being withdrawn as we speak in favour of a self loading but single shot only variant of the now successful L85A2

Skinnerton says 1025 of the No. 1 Mk VI.
Nice recap. I'll check my Long Branch references; there were I think, 1,000 LB T's produced prior to the end of the warm and ended up with about 1,200 delivered by end of 1946.

I just can't believe that the Government will allow any of them to go to private hands. The problem is that they look like a 'real' SA80. Its the same nonsense that is spouted by the US anti-gun pressure groups, trying to ban 'evil' assault rifles. Mini 14 good - AR15 bad.
BTW, I'd like to add an L96 to my Enfield collection. (None of which were actually made there.) So I plan to: "keep 'em peeled'.

WWA have some deact SA80's for sale. I know...., I know, but it's the next best thing AND the values keep going up and up

Isn't the last one
The L-59 Drill rifle, of which the Colonel says 6,000 were made?
