Moisin Nagant country of Origin?
Asking for a friend.
He has a Moisin Nagant with a "crest" on the reciever.
It is a wreath with the letters RPR with the "P" being slightly higher than the "R's" on each side.
I am trying to deterimine country of origin and ( I know hard without photo's) value. I have seen the rifle and it is in what I would consider very good to excellent condition. It is NOT all matching. Bolt is Pin stamped to match receiver.

Hognfrog,
You will want to check out 7.62x54r.net. There are links to other countries proofs and markings. This site will help your sort out what he has. Happy collecting.
