Rifle No.7 .22 LR
I have learned what this is and a buddy of mine knows someone from our shooting club who has one. The problem is there is no conversion bolt. Is it true that the Brits disarmed them by throwing these away?
My next question is. Does anyone know where One could be obtained or a machine drawing so one could be made?
It would be nice to see this old rifle fire again.
So I'll keep looking and doing the Google thing but I know I get more answers here. Thanks.

Bolts simply become misplaced. People think they're making it safe. Whatever...If you advertise here on the WTB forum someone will respond with a bolt.

He has the bolt but the conversion part which has the firing pin in it is missing. My thought was if we could get a hold of a drawing he could make one. If anyone has an idea where I could get one or where to look I'm all ears. I guess I'm talking blue prints?

Springfield Sporters sold these rifles LESS the bolt head and magazine insert. I suspect that the rifle in question is one of those. Attempts have been made to locate or make the missing parts with very limited success. Consider the parts not to be found as the few that have turned up sold for more then the rest of the rifle(rifle $150.00, bolthead $300.00). And no more have been available for at least 2 years.

Thank You to jona For This Useful Post:

The bolt head contains even more of the most difficult to get parts too such as the firing pin, spring, extractor, spring, auxiliary extractor etc etc. While they might be in the hard to get category, they are in the 'most simple in the world' category to make. Same applies to the ejector block in the body side.
So simple that I'm suprised that someone out there hasn't had 20 or even 30 sets made, kept a set for himself and sold off the rest at a profit

Yes Peter that was the idea. To make the part for this rifle (and he thinks he can make all the other necessary parts with no problem) and could then get a lot of rifles off the walls they are probably on and out to the range where they belong.
The next best thing would be to get our hands on the parts in question, so as to duplicate them. Barrow would be best and I'm sure we could make it worth the trouble.

You probably want to ascertain whether it is a British
7 or a Canadian
7 - not the same mechanism.

He mentioned the Brits in the thread so I just assume by Brits, it meant the British
No7

Believe me DaveN........... making them is easy - I've been there. Trying to get people to buy them afterwards is the difficult bit, believe me. In my experience, they'll always want to find them cheaper and wait until they ARE cheaper. You can tell 'em until they're blue in the face that it ain't going to happen but................... I know 4 No7's in the UK that are incomplete, waiting for someone to make the bits
Can we assume that it is UK No7 rifle parts that you're thinking of and not the CNo7?

Hi Peter, do you know if any of the above for sale? if so any chance of putting me in contact please...

If they're missing the bolt head assemblies, ejectors, interfaced magazines and mag inserts, then like Jona says above, they're not really worth a light! But if you want an incomplete one, speak to BDL
. He'll know where some are for sure
