    No. 4 MKI (T)

I am currently looking for a scope for my (T). I am thinking an original will be to expensive though. Is anyone reproducing them? Or is there another scope i could get that will look the part? If so where might I find one?

I do not understand the hype & hysteria over 4T's - yes its nice to have one, its increasing in value and its part of the Enfield family history - but - if you want something special there are many other variations which were produced in such low quantities as to make the 4T look like mass production.

For "collectability" / Rarity give me an L42, an Enforcer, a No6 or a BSA No7 anytime.

    Production figures :

No1 MkV Trials. RSAF Enfield manufactured 20,000 rifles.

No1 MkVI Trials RSAF Enfield manufactured 1000 rifles.

No4 Trials RSAF manufactured 2500 rifles

    No4Mk1T & Mk1*T. Longbranch manufactured 1000, and Holland & Holland converted 23,000 rifles.

No5 Mk1 Fazakerly and BSA combined manufacture 250,000+

    No6 Mk1 Lithgowicon manufactured 100 rifles

    No6 Mk1/1 Lithgow manufactured 100 rifles

    No7Mk1 BSA manufactured 2500 rifles

    Cno7Mk1 Longbranch manufactured 20,000 rifles

No8 Fazakerly manufactured 15000 and BSA manufactured 2000 rifles

No9 Parker Hale manufactured 3000 rifles.

L39A1 RSAF Enfield manufactured 1500 rifles

The last Military Enfield L42A1 RSAF Enfield manufactured 1000.

The last Enfield – Enforcer manufactured by Enfield & Parker Hale. 767 rifles.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

  11. Thank You to Alan de Enfield For This Useful Post:

Not hype at all, at least in my case. I bought mine because a number 4T will shoot better than a standard No4 in most cases. I used it sans scope but with bayonet on Sunday in the HBSA Fixed Bayonet Competition - much good it being a 4T did me though.

When I bought it I was lucky enough to be offered a No32 and bracket at the same time, which fortunately I took because I use it in sniper/scoped comps as well.

Two rifles for the price of a bit more than one - at the time.
