Korean Carbines and Garands?
I have read all the info that I can find on the large numbers of M1
's that are supposed to be imported but everything I have been seeing is from late last year.
Have any of you guys seen any NEW news about when they are supposed to arrive?
I know most people don't "collect" import marked guns but the parts sure would be cool.

"Nuttin", except what shows up here. It may take quite a while, or it may never happen. Alternatively, they can hit the distrubutors today-

My dealer (in small town, rural Southern Illinois) had 10 of the Garands come in (8 SA and 2 Winchesters). Said were as good as CMP
Service and field grade. Sold them for $499 in 3 hours and 20 minutes from the time they came in the door. He tried for carbines, but none have come in yet. Had calls from as far away as Chicago. He ordered 100 more, but was told that they will be $170 more each.

Do you know who (which importer) he was getting them from? Also did you see where the import make was? 499 is a good deal if they are not marked on the receiver.
Thanks for the information.

100 percent bet they were from SOG and not from the Korean contract. I believe C.I.A. is in the process of winning the contract. If they were from SOG they were not as good as CMP.

There is a container of Garands in Kuwait waiting for the customs OK to import, also. Before my recent financial crisis, I thought of getting a CMP
Garand
Racker just to have. My shoulder is so shot, though, that I wouldn't be able to shoot it. It would kill me to have one I couldn't shoot anyway.
