The AP dsignation is Air Publications and this is the Royal Air Force, very simplified version of the Army EMER's. The reason why the RAF and the Navy (they had booklets numbered in the BR series) had their own information sheets is because the Air Force, Navy and the Army were all completely seperate entities. Now, where we share equipment, we have a single set of instructions.
So, for example, the L1A1 SLR, we'd all share the Army EMER. Now, the EMER's have been replaced with AESP's and these are generic, throughout the three services.

I have all of AP1641P and this is where Badger got the "1952 Instructional Pamphlet for No.4 Mk1(T) sniper rifle" Which came from my manual sticky at Gunboards.
