    Wink 03 Fingergroove FJA Stock!

So yeah, you've probably already guessed that something just can't be right. The fingergrooves on this stock are "not exactly factory". I had the seller email me some more pics and they're a little rough.

I recently put some FG's on a stock for the heck of it, using a Dremil and, you guessed it, my finger. It's not bad.

Anyway, the stock looks like it WAS a legit, late Rem. 03 stock. The stock has been sanded, but the stamps still look OK to me.

You can just see a circle P on the wrist. There is no recess for the A3 handguard ring.

What I was wondering about are the stock bolts. I thought a FJA stamped Rem 03 stock would be late enough to have pins, or were pins and bolts just used at the same time?

Whatta you guys think? I've never seen a pinned RLB, or any FJA stock for a Rem 03, so I don't know.

The stock appears legitimate. But the finger grooves are not. And the seller clearly states in the item description that the finger grooves are not original.

Early Remington FJA stocks had bolts, not pins. Pins appeared shortly thereafter. Inletting for the '03-A3 barrel guard ring appeared even later.

    Hope this helps.

Yeh, looks like the seller has posted an email, other than mine, that they received concerning the FG's.

    Thanks for the info, J.B.
