B in a circle is simply a Bridgeport replacement mag, right? I keep hearing 'Winchester' talk about these.

Bill, is UW a Winchester magazine or a spare part contract?

There have been boxes of 100 magazine that are marked Winchester on the outside but when opened had B in a circle marked magazines inside. Since Bridgeport was a magazine subcontractor it is possible the generic marked magazines were inadvertently sent to WRA. Another possibility is that once Bridgeport received the ordnance contract they stopped using the BW mark for the mags sent to Winchester.

Union Hardware for Winchester. I have some documents from International Silver covering its magazine contracts. I have to look through to find the Winchester Sub Contracted Magazines.

Brian is correct. Markings do not always tell the whole story.

Werent magazines, like slings just packed, and delivered in separate, boxes, its nice to know the makers code, but a WRA magazine doesnt have to be in a WRA carbine to be correct....
I'm sorry, but I hate it when I see rifles, and carbines referred to as "guns", it reminds me of liberal's, and Cabela's training....weapon, rifle, carbine, was a bad word, but "gun" is good!!!???? To me a gun is a Howitzer, naval or /aircraft artillery

You are correct. I lot depends upon the way items were packed and what I call "Warehouse Procedures for Issue". There can be some variations.
