F Class is a category of competition which started in Canada
. It originated with a Dominion of Canada Rifle Association shooter George Farqharson as an option for shooters who could no longer shoot Target Rifle - a type of rifle that most US shooters associate with the Palma Match, an iron sighted target rifle in .308. Basically the idea was to allow a Target Rifle to be fitted with a scope, and shot from a rest. It has evolved until there are three categories of rifle allowed, depending on the jurisdiction. F(M) is with a factory rifle. F(F) is with a rifle that would otherwise qualify as a Target Rifle, according to DCRA or Provincial Rifle Association rules. F(O) is the unlimited class, sometimes called prone benchrest. Basically no limit on equipment or calibre. This would be the class that your rifle would be used in.

Thanks Tiriaq, I figured it had to be along those lines, but, just wasn't sure. It's nice to have an open class like that, you can really pull out all the stops! I'm going to start another one pretty soon, I'm looking for the right action and then I'll order a 30"+ heavy bull from Shaw and take it from there, thanks again-SDH

Sorry to hijack this thread but I could not ask you this in PM.
You might just be the man to help me with the completion of my SAS3 Sten build. I still have to find a 9mm 18½" blank barrel.
But first I have to get my bolt/striker combo machined and to find the spring guides/springs + AR15 firing pin. THEN will come the long barrel. Still, Haven't found a source for it. Nor do I know the price it is worth.
So, your suggestions would be more than welcome.
