That base fit a dovetail mounted on the receiver rear. There were three of them. One on the muzzle one on the barrel ring and this one. In the
Canadian
army we mounted them on the 7.62 sniper rifle. They were carried as spares in case the scope (Kahles fixed 6 power) was damaged..
Do you mean the this Parker Hale M82 Mauser bolt rifle? http://www.eme421.com/sniper.html
I should think you could mount the base on anything with enough meat to take it.
Peter Laidler
will know for sure, he dealt with them first hand. He's here somewhere
First when I got these, I compared to my L39 and was disappointed they would not fit. I don't know of any standard bases available to me that have a 3/4" dovetail. The bases mostly commonly used on Iron Sighted match rifles for NRA competitions is the Redfield base. Very different from whatever this fit on to.
Thanks, for the information.

I specificly meant the C3 not A1 version. They probably fit however. The mounts were peculiar, you see the round boss meant to fit the blocks and they were the only ones I know of that would fit. The PH sights were used on a vast array of weapons and I'm sure you can find something to mate it to.

Parker Hale PH5E
Hi
You may already have the answer to what rifle the sight fixes to as the date of the thread is last years, however if you still do not know the answer is that there were three styles of
5E I believe, apologies now if I`m wrong but the one you have fits a Parker Hale M84 target rifle. I have one. Service and TArget Rifle Sights ~ Parker-Hale and B.S.A. I also have a 5E for the Brit enforcer/envoy.
best regards

I also would like to know if there is a base for the PH 5E that fits the P14 Enfield, not the Mk 4. I have a fantastic target rifle made from the Enfield's that was owned by a famous Canadian
shooter, Clint Dahlstrom. The existing site is a PH 5B and I wanted the MOA and elevation of the later sights. So.....whaddya know?
