LE,
Who stamped the stock?
Sorry LE,
Had more to say but hit the wrong key.
CID sure did a nice park job, as expected. Really nice job matching up all the metal in the same color range.
Happen to notice your flip sight spring has gotten rusty. I had one break loose while shooting. First and only flip sight I've taken apart. Had to buy a cheap repro flip to steal the spring.
The one that broke, I cleaned the crud out from under it and found the .U. stamped inside the base. Since then I try my best to spray de-greaser under it and oil the heck out of it.
Good luck finding a proper stock, there out there but real ones are pricey.
Thanks for sharing.
Next project?

Charlie, I had Tim Shufflin, who does a lot of parkerizing stamp the stock. The S'G' stamp is wrong so no chance someone would take it as real. As for the rust..I think it's the camera, no rust up close looking at it,,may be grease. It's a legit S'G' flip, bought it from a trusted guy on the CMP
board for $125. A few months ago there was a legit S'G' highwood on ebay that went for $550. Next project will be my last Carbine restoration project, an IBM..will post pics.
