    Another new No 4(T) owner

    Picked it up today

Peter, you should recognise it, the scope has been through your hands; and the rifle has been through Roger Payneicon's hands for some TLC........

Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. For the record this is not a moneymaker, I hope just to break even, eventually, at $80/book plus shipping. In the USA shipping is $5.00 for media mail. Sorry about the plastic. I should have put them a bit further apart

Roger, what I need is a chance for my wallet to recover!

L42? I wouldn't mind a L98A1 to bring things up to date, I know where there is one, not a million miles from here.......

Here's a little secret Dave. Genuine L98's are TEN times as rare as L42's but only 3/4 the price (correct me if I'm wrong of course.....) so I'd get one now. You can always get an L42 later. Because when people realise just how rare they are, the prices will sky-rocket. When there's enough of them out there and enough interest I'll start to throw out the tech info etc etc. GET ONE NOW. L42's are ten a penny by comparison

21332 - Don't remember any particular telescopes I have to admit but will have it recorded somewhere

If I could find a L98 (or an Enfield Ensign) at a sane price I'd buy one. If you hear of one, let me know.......!
