A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Stock looks to be a WRA Type III and either sanded on the bottom and frt sides or has dried out, because the trigger housing looks like it's ready to drop right thru it.

P.S. Frt sight looks like those P stamped replacements but don't see a marking. No rear slope.

Yup Winchester stock, post war front sight,SG recoil plate but it's OK because of all the trading between the two SG's and a rear sight made by Rock-Ola? Seems there is as much wrong with it as there is right but it was a brought back from the war. Question is brought back from what war? At least there are some original parts on it.

$954 final selling price. Although they didn't all match, it had some really decent parts in my opinion. - Bob
