These accidents are difficult for victims, their families, first responders, and the engineers. The engineers have an especially difficult time as they can see the situation develop and have no way to stop or avoid the tragedy.

Talk about heartbreaking, I honestly can't imagine the grief so many are experiencing at this time. Vets who have given so much and then a tragetdy like this.
The engineer(s) never get over this type of accident. My dad worked on the Railway here in Canada
for over 39 years and a good friend of his was a engineer who hit a car carrying a family of four that was trying to beat the train to the crossing, killing all in the car. Dad said it destroyed everyone involved, including the engineer who never worked again. It is just impossible to quickly stop a train.
A prayer for all involved.
Why use a 50 pound bomb when a 500 pound bomb will do?
