no 5 butt pad source

Anyone know of a source or got a extra laying around been looking for months. Numrichs been sold out forever it seems and can't find any others. Either repro or a good condition original

a while back I picked of a no5mk1 at a local shop originally Thinking it was a fake it was sitting In a poorly cut down no 4 stock and was missing the rear sight which had been replace with a no tap scope mount. and a non matchIng but correct carbIne bolt. But they only wanted 75 do it so I grabbed it anyways thInkIng I could use It for plInkIng Instead of my mInt no5. After breaking it down at home it turned out to be a real 9/45 No5 mk1 made at rof. no post 68 Import markIngs. Oddly the bolt is only 51 off from matching. So over the past year I've managed to pick up all the correct peices for her. Even all f marked. Found a complete thou a bit rough stock for her at a local show. So now the only missing peice is the butt pad.

They do turn up on ebay from time to time, I also know of a stockist but there in the UK and there selling the whole Butt Plate Assembly. you could just use the butt pad and resell the frame and screws.

thanks for the link, i was going to call today when someone else gave me a source in the US, sarco has reproductions in stock as the whole assembly also, they also have a great price on firing pin tolls, just $8 so i grabbed a couple of those too.

What I gathered from the description was the rubber pad was original but the frame was repro. Or did I read it wrong?

Sarco's firing pin tools are crap and will break easily so it's good you bought two of them. If you want a proper military type firing pin tool, go to Arrowmark Tool and Gauge in Australia and bit the bullet. Not cheap but they won't break easily either so you only have to buy it once.

Further to Brians thread, I have the striker tool that I've had since I 'liberated' it from my first tool kit after finishing my apprenticeship in 1966. Get a good one and it'll be the only one you will ever need

i have one i picked up at a show when i bought my no4, seller claimed it was a military issue tool (didnt say from what country), no sure if it is but seems pretty heavy duty, always hear how these break so figured i would grab some while i was placing the order, for what they cost i have no problem throwing them in the workbench as back ups.
