    My collecting days are over

Unfortunately my collecting days are over. It's no fun anymore. I live in New York where our Governor decided that there will be no more "internet" purchases of ammo shipped to New York residents. My local gun shops do not carry my ammo. If I can't order ammo on line, then all I have are milsurps in a safe. I don't want wall hangers. I want to shoot. No ammo, no shooting, no interest, no fun. The government doesn't need to take our firearms. Just our ammo. I'm done.

    Exclamation

    That's unfortunate ...

I feel your pain, but I ask all of our members not to turn this thread into a political tirade, since all we'd be doing is preaching to the choir anyway ...

    Thanks in advance ..

    Regards,
    Doug

Don't give up that easily. There's always a way around politicians. Maybe you have to stock up out of town and bring it back. Maybe you have to re-load for yourself. That's what I did and during this last shortage and famine, I didn't feel the bite at all...not one bit...there's no .22 on our Walmart shelves and hasn't been for months, but I have thousands...there's always a way you can beat this.
    Regards, Jim

That is sound advice. Why not establish legal residence in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and "vacation" on Long Island? After all, it wouldn't be much of a drive would it?

Re-loading is the male equivalent of knitting. I do it in a kind of bovine trance. Best done when everything else around you is getting hectic. I usually end up with more ammo than I need.

Come on, young Villiers: you know the old saying:

"You can never have too much ammo and music, or too many books!"

At least, that's what I tell my wife (for whose rifles I have also reload a "few" rounds).

    Stephen25:

Arizona seems mighty "friendly"; at least it has always been that way on my visits there. Climate is a mite drier as well; shooting irons don't rust as fast there.

The government doesn't need to take our guns. Just our ammo. That's exactly what Biden said when all the gun ban proposals got shot down..................''let them keep their guns we'll do any with the ammo, without ammo they are nothing more than fancy clubs''.
Like others said DON'T give up, that's just what the anti-gunners want. There's many a slip betwixt a cup and a lip, there's a lot of fun and satisfaction to be had from whipping people at their own game.
