There is no such thing as a commercial Lithgow
. The original butt will have the rifles history stamped on it. The date will be on the barrel with a bundle of inspectors and proof marks unless it is a civvie replacement. The serial number on the barrel may have another Number immediately above it and there could be a single didgit number on the Knox flat something like 2MD.
The police in some states were issued Lithgows and will have stamps indicating ownership but will have the Lithgow marks the same as all other Lithgows.

this rifle is clean. it has the usual inspectors marks and proof marks and a serial number thats all matching. the barrel is original. this rifle is all 1920.
it spent time in Europe and picked up an OSTERR GENDARMERIE stamp on the knoxform. thats the only non lithgow factory mark that on this rifle.

My 1917 Lithgow is similar although it does have 3 MD on the Knock's form and on the stock. All serial numbers are matching and has the acceptance marks, but there are not the usual markings all over the metal like I normally see.

A 1920 Lithgow butt will have the Lithgow shield and the month year date (8/20) stamped on it when it went into store if not it is a replacement or is heavily sanded. The OSTERR GENDARMERIE is post WW2.
AFPATRIOT
Your rifle is a run of the mill one some have lots of stamps if they have had a hard life others no. The 3MD is Victoria. The numbers other than the serial on the action and barrel which also match are inventory numbers for the MDs. There maybe several if the rifle was returned for a rebuild or went to another MD. The butt will have date stamps showing the return to store.
