looking for info
I bought a lee-enfield long branch at a gun show a few weeks ago. The date is 1942 seral no.is 12L6061 7114. I am just looking for alittle info about this weapon. I read a little about lee-enfields and wanted one so I got one.

This is a Lee Enfield No4 Mk1* manufactured in 1942 by 'Longbranch' in Canada
, it is the 126,061th rifle of this type that they made.
The number 7114 means nothing to me and without a 'context' (ie whereabouts on the rifle the markings are) it will be very difficult to make a guess.
Mine are not the best, but they are not too bad. I can think of lots of Enfields I'd rather have but instead of constantly striving for more, sometimes it's good to be satisfied with what one has...

I wonder if the "7114" is a NZ
rack number?
