Need help and Information on 1911 A1

I need help with my Remington Rand project. I own 2 1911 A1's, USGI, a Colt 99.9% and a RR 99.%. I recently acquired a 99% RR Frame with all RR parts. beautiful. I need help as to how to go about acquiring a complete slide and a barrel. Please tell me what I need to do. I never put one together before. The frame is fantastic. I have found some slides in as great of shape but to be honest I don't know what they are worth! I have seen quite a few stripped slides in great condition (a couple un-issued) in the $200.00 range but I need to put together a complete ready to go slide and barrel to just slide on my frame. What is the best way to go? I want it 100% WW11 gov. military. Mine is 1943. WHO out there can give me some valuable advice on how to do this and what I need? I do not have unlimited funds just a regular guy that collects what he can when he can at a fair price or trade. I have a lot of military items and weapons so I do know something about this stuff just not how to complete my 45. I have 1919A4, AK's, RPD, AR-15's, Nazi guns, military bayonets, knives etc I just need help with THIS project. I sure don't know everything about everything and admit it...LO
