New A3 barrel 44, I Need A1
Hi
I have a A3 Springfield 1944 Manufactured and Marked 2 groove Barrel. I purchased this new 20yrs ago. I've never fired it, as I purchased it back then as I couldn't find a good replacement for my 1903 Springfield armoury 1,xxx,xxx + A1 rifle. If anyone is interested in it, I would really like to trade it for a 4 groove springfield barrel. Otherwise I'm going to turn it down and install the sight on it. I would hate do do it, but I'm getting old and I'm tired of not just getting on with it.
I'm a shooter not a collector, but prefer original where possible. Reason for such great difficulties, with barrel, I live in Canada
and I'm not paying $500 for something, still selling a few miles away, that I'm use to buying for a $100. What happened to that B******T called free Trade! that Mulroney got paid well for.

You could put it on the WTB or WTT and you might get a bite. I think it will still be only in Canada
though as these might not be able to transit the border. Try CanadianGunNutz too as there's a few there that might be interested.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for the Tip, I'll give that a try. This Boarder thing is getting to me on so many levels, it's not funny. Not just limited to old rifle parts and scopes, as I'm sure your aware.
Just wondering is it possible for Canadian citizens living in Canada
to get the correct paperwork so we can bring things in or is that a thing of the past.
Regards Ian
