A Collector's View - The SMLE Short Magazine Lee Enfield 1903-1989. It is 300 8.5x11 inch pages with 1,000+ photo’s, most in color, and each book is serial-numbered. Covering the SMLE from 1903 to the end of production in India in 1989 it looks at how each model differs and manufacturer differences from a collecting point of view along with the major accessories that could be attached to the rifle. Now, that's near and dear to my heart - I've lived in Idaho all my life and that ship (along with the current USS Boise) is still talked about. It's a shame that those fine young men weren't around about 20 or so years ago. Some lowlifes broke into the state historical museum and stole the complete silver set from the USS Idaho and it's never been seen again. It breaks your heart...

Check out the biplanes in the back. That crane must be what they used to hoist them back aboard. Pretty dang cool. I'd like to have one of those bayonets those Marines are sporting.
