Well then...I'll take it! I'll have to watch this one, I can't imagine it selling. It'll probably be re-listed at much lower...I should think.

This particular U.S.
M.C. Unertl has been popping up every so often for 6 or 8 months. Only lowered the price once on the second listing IIRC. There was another one on that sold for around $3600 USD last week minus the carrying case. These are a lot scarcer than a No.32, only 1775 U.S.M.C. marked 7.8x(8x) Unertls were made and the micarta cases are harder to come by than the scopes. It would probably be worth it to someone with a documented U.S.M.C. 1903 rifle needing a scope.
What about the No.32 Mk.1 on ebay with a BIN of $2950? Just scope and covers, no bracket or tin. A bit optimistic don't you think?

I have two originals without scopes and therefore would be interested in it. However, it's way too expensive, and after all I have a third rifle complete with scope and can aswell, so it's more of a luxury problem anyway..

Yes we would all like to go back when I think of my Dad selling our Buick Straight 8's, Chevy Impala Pillarless, 1960 Pontiac Leurentian, Plymoths, Morris's, AP-5 Valliant and oh so many other cars I cringe at their value today.
But in all fairness to the 1700 odd Unertl's made does not justify 10K, I mean how much for the No.1 Mk III a one of presented to the King of Siam if you have seen pics of it boy it sure is pretty but not a shooter
